Why did we move to Teamo?

At Corsham Hockey Club, we’re proud to be a community of players, volunteers, and supporters of all ages and abilities. To keep our club running smoothly and connected, we’ve moved from ClubBuzz to Teamo — a modern, user-friendly platform designed specifically for sports clubs.

ClubBuzz served us well for many years, but it had become outdated, hard to manage, and didn’t meet the needs of a growing, dynamic club. Teamo offers a centralised, integrated system that brings everything together: communication, fixtures, payments, selection, and more — all in one place. It helps us stay organised, informed, and united — building club spirit both on and off the pitch.

Whether you’re a junior, senior, parent, coach, or committee member, Teamo is here to make your club experience easier and more enjoyable.


What is Teamo?

Teamo is a digital platform designed specifically for sports clubs — like ours at Corsham Hockey Club — to manage everything in one place. It’s available as both a mobile app and a website, and it helps players, parents, coaches, and volunteers stay organised, informed, and connected.

📱 The Teamo App: Staying Connected

Teamo works on both mobile app and website, but the app is essential for staying up to date.

Why You Should Install the App:

  • Get instant notifications about matches, training, selection, and chat.
  • Respond quickly to availability requests.
  • Chat with teammates and captains.
  • Make payments easily.

Website vs App:

  • The website is great for browsing and seeing what’s happening at the club.
  • The app is where you’ll find your personal info — matches, teams, payments, chat, and more.


📲 Download the Teamo app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) and log in with your account.

Registration

To be a member of Corsham Hockey Club and access everything Teamo offers — including match selection, payments, and team chat — you must complete your registration. Without registering, you won’t be added to your squad or receive important updates from the club.

Membership

Our membership options are based on age categories, with discounts available for families who have more than one member at the club. Whether you're a junior, senior, or part of a hockey-playing household, there's a membership product to suit.

All membership payments are now handled through Teamo, using a secure system called GoCardless.

How It Works:

  • Once registered on Teamo, you’ll be prompted to choose a Membership Product.
  • These products reflect the age-based categories and any applicable family discounts.
  • You can pay in one upfront payment, or — if early in the season — choose to pay in monthly instalments.


Setting up your payment is quick and secure, and we strongly encourage members to set up a standing direct debit to ensure prompt and automatic payment throughout the season.

⚠️ Please note:

  • Teamo will automatically prevent players from being selected for matches if their membership is unpaid or if they’ve built up a significant match fee debt.
  • This helps us run the club fairly and consistently, and ensures that captains are selecting from fully registered, up-to-date members.

Fixtures

Fixtures and team selection are now fully integrated into Teamo, streamlining how we manage match logistics across the club.

  • The club website displays fixtures, scores, and results across all teams.
  • Logged-in members using the Teamo app will see fixture details specific to their teams.
  • Each fixture record includes:
  • Opposition
  • Date & time
  • Location (with Google Maps link to the venue)

Availability and Selection

A new feature in Teamo asks players to indicate their availability in advance of games. This helps captains:

  • View availability across teams
  • Select balanced squads
  • Plan ahead with confidence

Please:

  • Provide your availability as early as possible
  • Stick to your commitment once marked as available — this helps avoid last-minute reshuffles

📣 Selection Notifications

Once availability is reviewed, captains will make selections and notify players via Teamo.

⚠️ Important: Availability does not equal selection. Being marked as available means you're considered — not confirmed — for the match.

Selections will be clearly communicated, so please check your notifications and respond promptly.

Chat

Teamo offers a secure, well-managed chat system that’s fully integrated into the app and tailored to our club’s structure. To ensure consistent communication and reduce fragmentation, we are retiring all existing WhatsApp channels. From now on, Teamo will be our primary platform for club messaging.

This shift allows us to:

  • Keep all communications in one place
  • Align chats with club roles and team structures
  • Ensure data protection and transparency
  • Reduce reliance on external apps

Please begin transitioning your conversations to Teamo immediately. WhatsApp groups should be closed once Teamo chats are fully active.

Chat from a members perspective

As a member, you’ll automatically be added to the chat groups that are relevant to you — such as your team, section (e.g. Men’s, Ladies, Juniors), or any committees you’re part of. These chats are used for sharing match details, confirming availability, coordinating lifts, and keeping in touch with teammates and captains.

You don’t need to set anything up — once you’re registered and assigned to the right squad, your chats will appear in the Teamo app. You’ll receive notifications when new messages are posted, and you can reply directly within the app. It’s a simple, secure way to stay connected with the people you play and train with.

Most members won’t be able to create new chat groups themselves, but you can always message individuals or reply within your existing groups.

Need a new chat group?

If you think a chat group is missing — for example, for a specific squad, committee, or role — just let a club admin or captain know. Admins can create new groups as needed to ensure everyone’s included and communication flows smoothly
